Creating an account puts an application in front of our team. It does not make you verified, it does not make you an Ijanaposa employee, and it is not a job offer. A profile that passes vetting goes into the pool we search when a client sends a requirement. Whether a particular profile is put forward depends on what clients are asking for, where the site is and whether your certificates cover the work. We cannot promise anyone a placement.
Some people in the network are employed by Ijanaposa. Others are independent professionals engaged for a project. Which one applies to you is agreed before you are put forward for anything, and it is stated on your profile.

You need the right to work in Uganda, and you must be old enough for the work. Uganda's Occupational Safety and Health Act 2006 does not allow anyone under eighteen to operate a power-driven lifting machine or to give signals to one.
Mobile, truck-mounted and crawler crane operators, excavator, loader, telehandler, forklift and other plant operators.
Riggers, slingers, banksmen, signallers and lift supervisors.
Prime mover, low-bed, abnormal load and specialised transport drivers.
Mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, welding and equipment technicians.
HSE officers, safety supervisors and safety inspectors.
Lift engineers, appointed persons, transport engineers and planning specialists.
A government-issued identity document: national ID, passport or driving permit. A clear photograph of the document is enough, as long as the numbers and dates are readable.
Your work history as a document, with dates. PDF or Word.
Every certificate you want counted: operator or trade certificates, rigging, lifting supervision, HSE, first aid, defensive driving, manufacturer training. For each one we need the certificate name, who issued it, the certificate number, the issue date, the expiry date and a copy of the document.
Driving permit classes, and any professional licence or registration your work needs, each with its number, issuing authority and expiry date.
The machines you have actually operated or worked on: make, model, capacity, roughly how many years on each, and when you last worked on one. Be exact. This is the field clients search on, and it is checked.
Employers, positions, periods, the kinds of project you worked on, and the equipment you used on each. Where a former employer's client name is confidential, describe the kind of work instead.
Two or three people who supervised your work, with their position, company, phone number and email. Tell them to expect a call. Referee details stay private and are never shown on your profile.
A clear head-and-shoulders photograph in working clothes. It is only shown to a client you are put forward to.
Name, email, phone and a password.
Profession, specialisations, years of experience, general location and preferred deployment area.
Your work history as a document, with dates.
The machines you have operated or worked on, and when.
With dates and document copies.
Employers, positions, periods and two or three referees.
Nothing is reviewed until you submit. Until then it is a draft only you can see.
Our team checks the profile against the documents and comes back on anything that does not line up.
Identity against your identity document. Certificates and licences with the issuing institution where that can be done. Work history and referees by contact. Equipment competency against experience and, for some roles, a practical assessment.
Each item carries its own status, and a badge on your profile says what has been verified.
My profile and verification status
Every certificate and licence in the system carries its expiry date. The system flags one that is approaching expiry and we let you know. Upload the renewed certificate, we verify it, and the status goes back to valid. A profile does not go forward on an expired certificate or an expired permit, whatever else is on it.
Update your availability when it changes: available, tentatively available, deployed, unavailable or on leave. A profile that shows as available and then is not is the fastest way to stop being put forward.
New machines, new certificates, a change of phone number or a move to another part of the country. Keep them current in your account.
Feedback from client sites is recorded. It is part of who gets put forward next time.
The documents you upload are personal data under Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019, and we handle them under that Act.
Why we collect them. To confirm who you are, to verify that you hold the qualifications you claim, and to put you forward for work. Nothing else.
What we collect. Only what the vetting needs. We do not ask for your religious or political views, your health records or your financial details.
Where they are kept. In a private document store behind a login, with access limited to the staff who carry out verification. They are never reachable through a public link.
What clients see. The profile we send when you are put forward, and copies of the certificates that apply to the job you are being put forward for. Not your identity document, not your certificate numbers, not your private contact details, not your referees.
What is never published. National ID and passport details, licence and certificate numbers, your private phone number and address, your date of birth, your referees and what they said, and our internal vetting notes.
How long we keep them. For as long as your profile is active, and afterwards only for as long as a law or a contract requires.
What you can ask for. You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, and to have your profile withdrawn. Write to info@ijanaposa.com.
