HEALTHY SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT POLICY
IJANAPOSA is a logistics company dealing in lifting services, HSE consultancy, equipment hire and management, transportation, workshop and maintenance. We are committed to offer high value services without comprising Health, Safety and Environment.
Our HSE Management System which is designed to comply with the ISO 45001 standard shall focus on;
- Maintaining an organization structure that engages the internal and external stakeholders that is paramount and therefore achieving our commitment to protect their well being.
- Ensuring that all stake holders recognise and accept their duties to protect the health, safety and environment in which we operate and prevent pollution
- Creating an environment in which all incidents are reportable and as well ensuring Continuous Improvement of our performance and expanding our services by listening and considering our client and interested parties needs.
- Ensuring the safety of all persons working under our responsibility through risk evaluation and analysis to reduce risk in our work and achieve our goal of zero accidents.
- Ensuring that all employees are competent to perform their tasks.
- Provide all necessary trainings, resources, and supervision to ensure a suitable health, safety and welfare of all our employees, suppliers and stakeholders
- Promoting health, safety and welfare awareness among our employees and encourage them to work in a responsible manner thereby enhancing employee health and wellbeing.
- Complying with the Uganda labour law as well as associated local legislations, regulations and other requirements for occupational Health, safety and Environmental (HSE) matters.
The IJANAPOSA HSE Policy shall continuously be monitored and reviewed for any changes in the occupational health and safety risks or the environmental aspects of our operations. This policy shall be communicated internally to workers through consultation and participation and externally to all our partners, customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and all interested parties, through our contractual framework and the prevention plan to meet our OHS requirements. Management is committed to the OHS management system while monitoring this policy and shall ensure the implementation of necessary actions to achieve the set HSE objectives while observing the requirements of the standard.
